Recently, PROCEON collaborated with FMS (Fiskmarkaður Suðurnesja), a major player in fish auctions in Iceland, to design and source equipment for a whole fish grading line. This marks PROCEON's first direct customer project and exemplifies how we aim to approach future projects, solving small or complex challenges efficiently in partnership with our clients.
Einar Gudmundsson, CEO of FMS, shared, “Working with PROCEON was straightforward and reliable. I was confident in their team's expertise across various processing solutions. When I brought them my request for assistance with this grading line, they completed the task within a few days.”
The processing line begins with a fish washer infeed that transfers product to the weight grader via a conveyor. The grader sorts whole fish into four distinct size categories, discharging them directly into 460-liter Borgarplast tubs. To ensure accuracy and fulfill regulations, any rejected units are automatically recirculated for re-grading.
